Balanced Heart Healing Center

Welcome!

Love is the soil in which all things grow! Studies indicate that 70-90% of visits to primary care physicians are for stress related symptoms, which could be reduced or prevented by holistic (mind-body-spirit) treatments. Balanced Heart Healing Center aspires to transform our current body-mind diagnosis-treatment pattern with unconditional love by addressing emotional-behavioral issues as a primary cause of physical symptoms. Incorporated in 2006 as a nonprofit social enterprise, Balanced Heart Healing Center emphasizes integrative wellness care, prevention, health education, and personal responsibility. It serves insured and uninsured clients equally, regardless of financial resources. Now in early implementation phase, Balanced Heart Healing Center is supported by founder and psychologist Dr. Katie McCorkle, her students and Board of Trustees, volunteer staff, and a growing group of integrative healthcare practitioners utilizing our unique business model. As a public/private, for-profit/nonprofit partnership leveraging donated services and earned income ventures, Balanced Heart Healing Center demonstrates a holistic model for sustainable community-building. We offer spiritually-centered cognitive-behavioral treatment and health coaching in collaboration with preventive medicine providers, and evidence-based complementary/alternative practitioners. We expect this approach to expand access to services, improve health outcomes, and lower overall healthcare costs by addressing stress and mental health concerns proactively, before they negatively affect physical health. We are now raising funds to establish our clinic, and become Pennsylvania’s first state-licensed holistic mental health clinic. Will you help us?

The 10 Principles

The Heart and Soul of BHHC

By living them in our own lives and work, they are the tools we use to help other people learn to “live love” in their lives too. They guide the way healthcare and classes are offered at BHHC, and the way we conduct our business…business and love are one.
